Chiropractic care for children and pregnant women is an area that Dr. Isabel DC enjoys treating.

Chiropractic care during the prenatal period can offer significant benefits to both mom and baby.  With the changes in a woman’s body required to accommodate a growing child, there can be significant spinal, sacral (low back) and joint pain associated with pregnancy. Additionally, chiropractic care, specifically Webster technique for a breech baby, can allow for better fetal alignment within the uterus, and reduce undue stress on the developing neuroskeletal system of the child.

This is a technique for which chiropractors must have additional training to offer this treatment. It is a safe, non-invasive, technique during which the chiropractor addresses the mother’s body, in order to allow for a re-positioning of the baby.

Children

Kids require some physical assessments in achieving a diagnosis, since symptoms may sometimes be hard to express. Dr. Isabel enjoys this aspect of utilizing her training and experience.

Additional coursework is required for these treatment types, and Dr. Isabel is happy to offer help to both women and children.
